Week 1

During week one of this course we were asked to download and convert a video to be placed in my class Blog as well as a PowerPoint Presentation.

I was successful in downloading and converting two educational videos that will serve as strong class resources. The downloading and converting of the videos was easy and quick. I encountered some issues when uploading them into the blog. The videos were uploading, but not finishing so they were not view able. I was able to get the videos to complete, but it was a lengthy process.

Week 2

During week two of this course we were asked to create digital flash cards that pertained to our class content.

I was successful in creating a PowerPoint presentation that featured 25 digital flash cards. The format of the presentation is easy to view and will assist students in learning and retaining important course vocabulary. Along with the link to the Vocabulary Presentation I created a video of the presentation and embedded it on the blog home page. The video version of the vocabulary review will best serve students as a refresher after they have learned the vocabulary. The video runs through all of the vocabulary slides quickly allowing students to review.

Week 3

During week 3 of the course we were asked to create a podcast for our class blog.

I was successful in creating a podcast, although it was more time consuming than I had anticipated. I orginally attempted to do it on my district issued Mac, and could not download the Lame DLL that was needed to convert the file to mp3. I then had to re-record it on my personal computer. It took some time adding the audio file, becasue the tuturioal was working witha  different version than I have. But I pushed through and got it done.
